Now here’s the second Santa Rosa laptop announced by HP yesterday, the Pavilion dv2500t model. This notebook PC has a 14.1-inch widescreen display supported by an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 chipset allowing up to 1280×800 resolution. Inside the hood, one can find either the latest Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz) or T7300 (2.0GHz) processor, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM (expandable up to 4GB), and up to 160GB of SATA HDD at 5,400rpm.
Moving to the outside, there are three USB ports, Firewire port, VGA and S-Video out, a 5-in-1 media card reader, an ExpressCard slot and ExpressCard TV tuner, fingerprint reader, Lactec Lansing stereo speaker, and a webcam module (optional). As for the media drive, users can opt-in for either a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, a standard DVD burner, or one with LightScribe technology for inscribing labels onto DVD media.
Connectivity options aren’t much different than HP Pavilion9500t model. From WiFI (802.11a/b/g and optional 802.11n), Ethernet LAN, 56K modem, to Bluetooth and broadband. This laptop weighs 5.3lbs and comes with the new HP Imprint Finish “Radiance” coating along with Windows Vista OS pre-installed.
HP Pavilion dv2500 laptop is retailed for $999 (base configuration).
